Dammitall, I'm going to have to start eating at McDonald's. Ew. I guess the chicken nuggets aren't too vile.
What the boycott of McDonald's IS NOT about
This boycott is not about hiring homosexuals.
It is not about homosexuals eating at McDonald's.
It is not about how homosexual employees are treated.
What the boycott of McDonald's IS about
It is about McDonald's, as a corporation, refusing to remain neutral in
the culture wars. McDonald's has chosen not to remain neutral but to give
the full weight of their corporation to promoting the homosexual agenda,
including homosexual marriage.
The "American Family Association" is not American. They are not pro-family. They are an Association that only considers the people who look, walk and talk just like them worthy of human rights. Regardless of your personal beliefs in regards to homosexuality / gay marriage / sex education / nekkidness / abortion / violence in the media / etc, can you really choke this down?
(from the Published Media section)
On April 16, 2007, following the Virginia Tech Massacre, the AFA released a video in which "God" tells a student that students were killed in schools because God isn't allowed in schools anymore. The video claims that the shootings at Virginia Tech, Columbine, and many other locations, are the result of, among other things, decreased discipline in schools; no prayer in schools; sex out of wedlock; rampant violence in TV, movies, and music; and abortions.
That is not Christianity. That is hatred. That is intolerance. That is evil.
They want prayer in schools, but only their prayers. They have lobbied against the use of any other Holy Books or acknowledgement of any other religion, such as Hindu or Judaism. No religion counts but theirs. How American is that?
And they don't want any corporation to spend any money in any cause that may oppose them in their "culture wars." I'm confused, are these "culture wars," or something that should waste our government's time and money with lobbying and boycotts and requests for legislation violating Free Speech and Freedom of Religion?
Stay on their side, or stay the hell out of the fight, nobody has the right to have any views different from theirs, is what I'm hearing.
I sent a message to McD's through their site, thanking McD's for believing that all humans should have rights to be recognized as families.
Bet they filter it out.
And I'm an even bigger Brad Pitt fan than before. Think Angelina would be into sharing?

3 folks talked back to Mama:
Try their salads. They're pretty good.
This stuff just makes me shake my head.
Now I'm gonna feel guilty if I don't say yes to Happy Meal requests.
Try the McRibs, too!
I'd lump these guys in with the Westboro Baptist Church crowd.
